When I worked at the hospital some one went into surgery to have a light bulb removed from his rectum, one of the long ones, said he sat on it accidentally. BTW it was Valentines Day |

U want embarrassing ER? Mate Charlie tried to light a fart as part of a drunken evening, it kinda went wrong and Derek drove him to the casualty department - Charlie had his ass out the window, they passed a police car - poor buggers didn't know what to do...i mean - how do u write THAT up?? lol. |

I've heard some pretty funny ones myself! My best friend's mom was a late night ER nurse! How embarassing to be the fool who passed out at a club, back in the days of disco, and have the ER people cut away the pants to discover a cucumber taped to his leg! HA!!
Of cours that was the eighties and tatoos were not something most people got, but her motto back then was more than 4 tatoos and your a loser! Once again, preface that remark with the time! It's a bit different now as so many people have body art. Sorry to hear that Becks. But does this mean that you will get some hours with them and therefore training as well? If so, then that is GREAT! I know it sucks right now, but a lot of times you just need that one foot in the door so you can SHOW them how great you are! Then when the next job comes up, you will be on top of the list. We have pretty much gone to that way of hiring at the hospital in our lab - hire people per diem and see how they are. When a job comes open you know exactly who you want to hire and who you DON'T (if you know what I mean!).
I was actually going to suggest you go to the labs and see if you could intern or volunteer or something. That way they could see how you work and that you train easily. We LOVE people like that !
Keep your chin up, I KNOW it will happen for you soon - I can FEEL it!

LMAO Ron! Oh yes poor little Craig still has to do the dishes. Most of the time anyways hehe [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by ron h from Monday, August 31, 2009 7:00:46 PM) | | ron h wrote: | | You sissy Poor guy has to defend his country and do the dishes!! That's criminal!! | | Becks wrote: | | LOL!!! Yeah, you need hot water for dishes, part of why Craig does them, he can stand really hot water whereas I can't! LOL! | | spapad wrote: | | Humm, I should begin to use the "dish philosophy" with a certain tween who seems to be alien to washing dishes and as the water she would use would be very luke warm, I'm not so sure I want her washing my dishes? Our cats and dog are snobby when it comes to sleeping places, they won't like his sweaty dirty uniform LOL!
My usual rules are if it's on the floor it's getting washed whether you like it or not, and if the dishes haven't been done I'm not feeding you, LOL! | | spapad wrote: | | I'd let the cat/dog use it for a bed for a few days and see if that changed his idea of the perfect place to leave dirty clothes. Pretty easy to see why I'm not married! I'm a bitch! HA!!! | | Becks wrote: | | Oooh yay for a three day weekend!
Speaking of laundry, I just noticed that SOMEONE (not me lol) left his physical training uniform lying on the kitchen floor. Yeah like it's going to get clean lying there LOL! | | spapad wrote: | | I'm just glad to have Monday behind me and only four more days to go till a three day weekend!
Other than that the never ending thankless task of laundry, but thank god the machines do all the work these days! I would have just been branded a major slacker in the old days when you took a washboard and soap to the local creek! LOL | | Becks wrote: | | Yeah
How are you this evening anyways? HRMG - thanks for your kind words. I think it means I will get some hours in the lab, but I am not sure yet. I'm trying to keep my chin up! Just another set back is all. | | HOT ROCKIN' METAL GODDESS wrote: | | Sorry to hear that Becks. But does this mean that you will get some hours with them and therefore training as well? Then when the next job comes up, you will be on top of the list. We have pretty much gone to that way of hiring at the hospital in our lab - hire people per diem and see how they are. When a job comes open you know exactly who you want to hire and who you DON'T (if you know what I mean!).
I was actually going to suggest you go to the labs and see if you could intern or volunteer or something. That way they could see how you work and that you train easily. We LOVE people like that !
Keep your chin up, I KNOW it will happen for you soon - I can FEEL it! | | Becks wrote: | | Morning everyone. A shit start to the day here - I got turned down from another job. He said he is going to keep all my details and add me to the pool of casual employees.

No I want to buy and awening with sides big enough to cover my whole driveway so I can forget the Plow! LOL
I suspect my front wheel drive Honda make just perform admirably in the snow as long as theres not 4 feet or more of it, like the blizzard of 92 was. I dug my toyota out of that mess and still couldn't get it to go, because of all the snow packed under it! Had to have it wenched from the driveway! The way it's cooling down this year and raining all the time, I think as winter approches I better get busy looking for a large snow plow. We havent had a bad winter in years now, so we are due for a nasty one. The weather has been perfect for it!
I hate digging my car out of snow, or worse having to clear the entire driveway of snow to the road. That really sucks. | | Head banger wrote: | | btw Spa how did I get designated the arc builder. I am arthritic, sit at a desk and live in the desert. |

Hi Becks I feel your pain I haven't had any luck in finding a job either. [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Becks from Monday, August 31, 2009 4:41:56 PM) | | Becks wrote: | | Morning everyone. A shit start to the day here - I got turned down from another job. It was the boss who rang me this time, not the HR guy. He said I interviewed really well etc etc but unfortunately came up against someone who already worked for them (part time or casual I think). He said he is going to keep all my details and add me to the pool of casual employees.
Still, I feel really really awful. |
