Hi Strat...
Well, "A-hole" is pretty good for Freeze. I'm impressed... Shall we consider that progress? The "F" word has Fewer letters and is Far more rewarding, so I'm thinking he just has to put Forth more eFFort.
We must keep Faith & hope alive...
Everything has a purpose. Even words... [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by _strat_ from Wednesday, December 10, 2008 11:48:20 AM) | | _strat_ wrote: | | Lol!!! Save the effort, WW. Hey DC...
I don't blame you one bit for being pissed off...
But, if it makes you feel any better (???) ... oh, well, probably not ... But, you have made me seriously RE-think any notions I ever had about moving back home to NZ, and I think "not". Too bad, it really is... so many beautiful places down there. Good people, too...
Yes, those poor little islands get forgotten! (Although, technically Aussie is a continent.)
I'm from ChCh on the South Island, and my Godparents live in Brisbane -- well, off in the rain-forest near Maleny. Are you nearby? (Could be visiting in the next year or so...)
Sorry about your pics. There has to be someONE, someWHERE, you can find to berate, hang, or otherwise get your point across??? All I have to say is that those "photographers" need to be btfued for being so stupid as to NOT have their photos uploaded here.
Goddamn, photographers aren't the smartest lettuce in the cabbage patch, are they? Unless it's to create negative publicity, then they're all over the place, the c****.
All they like to do is grip that expensive camera of theirs and wank it around like a bright pink dildo and get free beer because of it.
Only fully metallic camera men deserve less than a spanking with a pigs tail whip. I'm with you on the photos. Why aren't there enough photos from the rest of the world? Does the photographer hate to travel or something? Sheesh...
I can't imagine what it must be like for all of you guys living south of the equator, a place where bands rarely tour. I imagine it's just plain too expensive for them to haul all the equipment all the way down there, especially in today's economy. The difference in weather must make it even more difficult.
Anyway, let's hope Judas Priest can return there next year. And with more photos!!!! Most USBs like the Cruzer run with U3 which would allow you to install all sorts of programs / browsers on it. A 4GB goes for about $20 if you catch a special at WallyWorld. I have a few of them but rely more on an external harddrive as deal with very large files. Popped an old 100GB harddrive out of an old laptop and just bought a $10 enclosure. Works like a giant USB drive and you can install entire operating systems on it. THAT'LL teach them bastich IT guys! |

HB, I never considered Ozzy a "great" singer, in the mold of a Dio. He was distinctive, certainly. As for his onstage "moves", he was no dancer! (He may be a lover, but he aint no dancer....HA!) He always had kind of a stumbling, mechanical way of moving. VERY "white", if you will. Not really graceful, if you ask me. Now, Freddie Mercury had moves! WOW! That guy was graceful! Heck, even Axl Rose could move some! HA!!!!!!!!!!!

But that aside, I said it before and I say it again, an awesome singer. His singing really sends shivers down my spine. AND he is good lyricist as well. Theres a song on the Black Sabbath: The Dio years album (a great album, worth every cent) that starts with "One fine day... In hell". How could I possibly not like that? Or lines like "shadow in the dark"? Thats metal! Not singing about chicks or partying. Thats just pop with guitar solos, as far as Im concerned. Dungeons and dragons, swords and sorcery. Thats metal for me!

But if you actualy can dance, well... Cool. I was always more an Ozzy than an Axl. Couldnt dance if my life depended on it.

HB, I never considered Ozzy a "great" singer, in the mold of a Dio. He was distinctive, certainly. As for his onstage "moves", he was no dancer! (He may be a lover, but he aint no dancer....HA!) He always had kind of a stumbling, mechanical way of moving. VERY "white", if you will. Not really graceful, if you ask me. Now, Freddie Mercury had moves! WOW! That guy was graceful! Lol. Well, he is short, you cant deny that. I saw an interwiev with him once where he was surrounded by his bandmates from DIO. The rest of them were somewhere of a normal height, just Ronnie was down there like a child. And he has that mischevious, impish look as well.
HB, I never considered Ozzy a "great" singer, in the mold of a Dio. He was distinctive, certainly. As for his onstage "moves", he was no dancer! (He may be a lover, but he aint no dancer....HA!) He always had kind of a stumbling, mechanical way of moving. VERY "white", if you will. Not really graceful, if you ask me. Now, Freddie Mercury had moves! WOW! That guy was graceful! As for Dio...a gnome?!?!? HAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!!! That is TOO funny! He certainly is "ol iron lung", that's for sure! I do not think a cage could hold him! HA!!!!!!!!

As for Ozzy, what I was refering to is that his voice has character. IDK what an entertainer he is, because I never seen him live. But Iron Man doesnt sound the same without Ozzy.

Dio is great. A real vocal talent. Ozzy was good when he was at his best but he is no Dio. He is no Halford, either. Still, as far as being an "entertainer", you have a point. THAT he is! Of course, so is David Lee Roth. I never thought much of him vocally BUT he can work a crowd. Remarkable entertainer.

As for R.J. Dio, that is another thing. One of my favourite singers of all time, and Id dare say that I prefer him over Halford sometimes. Glad to hear he can still pull it off. |

He always had kind of a stumbling, mechanical way of moving.
Now, you can say Im a geek, because quite frankly... I am.

But if you actualy can dance, well... Cool. I was always more an Ozzy than an Axl. Couldnt dance if my life depended on it.

Lol. Well, he is short, you cant deny that. I saw an interwiev with him once where he was surrounded by his bandmates from DIO. The rest of them were somewhere of a normal height, just Ronnie was down there like a child. And he has that mischevious, impish look as well.

AH but you must remember that I come from a time when people felt that you had to be able to sing AND dance to be "talented". They still taught "tap" as a means of making it to Hollywood!! HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, I learned to dance at a young age and always loved it. I even thoroughly impressed the Princess when we first met with my ability to move with at least some grace. Still, I will NOT post it. I promise. Would not know how, for one thing!! HA!!!!!!!

Now, you can say Im a geek, because quite frankly... I am. | | Deep Freeze wrote: | | His voice is distinctive, no doubt. He was a very good entertainer. I loved his shows. As for Dio...a gnome?!?!? HAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!!! That is TOO funny! He certainly is "ol iron lung", that's for sure! I do not think a cage could hold him! HA!!!!!!!! | | _strat_ wrote: | | Mhm. Dio is the little man with the huge voice. He looks really cool too. Kinda like a little gnome that I would keep locked in a cage in my house to do my bidding...
As for Ozzy, what I was refering to is that his voice has character. IDK what an entertainer he is, because I never seen him live. But Iron Man doesnt sound the same without Ozzy. | | Deep Freeze wrote: | | Dio is great. | | _strat_ wrote: | | Well, IDK, I was never much of a singer, but in Ozzies case I think that there never was much talent behind it. Just character.
As for R.J. Dio, that is another thing. One of my favourite singers of all time, and Id dare say that I prefer him over Halford sometimes. Glad to hear he can still pull it off. |

Aaaarrgghh. All of this is Greek to me! HA!!
DF, was ozzy a great singer back in the day. I was impressed that he seemed coherant, jumped around a lot and got the words right. his vocal abilities didnt impress me much. but I didnt think he could move like that. he is no match for Dio though. Rob Halford has to be on his best day to compare. | | _strat_ wrote: | | Lol. Well, he is short, you cant deny that. I saw an interwiev with him once where he was surrounded by his bandmates from DIO. The rest of them were somewhere of a normal height, just Ronnie was down there like a child. And he has that mischevious, impish look as well.

HB, Guido, hold him down while I perform the ancient ritual involving a keyboard, a broken down DVD drive, and paper scissors.
Then we can move on to the boss... I like goats. Sacrifice one of our useless fucktards here instead.
