If they do that why don't they just do it with an album that best represents this lineup: Painkiller. But fuck it, I'd hate to see 'Priest do any of that. Just keep movin' forward...make more albums, play some of them on tour with old classics and new classics (ie. Angel & Death) and so on. I don't want 'Priest to turn into 'Maiden or anything as such that is regarded as nostalgic.

I think they're doing it b/c a couple of other bands are doing it with some success (hello, Motley Crue).   Personally, I think bands limit themselves artistically by doing this.   However, it's a new gimmick and people love gimmicks.

I'd prefer them not to. I would have loved that to have happened back in 1991 or so when the album was fresh. But nowadays...I'd like to see them play all the Painkiller songs by changing them around every tour...eg next tour do maybe One Shot At Glory and Metal Meltdown or so. But not all at once. Playing British Steel all live is just...nostalgic. Rob said Judas Priest will never be a nostalgia act, so why let it be? It's not even by this line-up.  It's moving backwards instead of forward. Please 'Priest reconsider this   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by screaming_4_priest from Tuesday, March 17, 2009 3:14:12 AM)

i spose playing all of British Steel will bring the fans though.

I personaly dont think a Nostradamus tour playing the whole album will sell tickets.
i think they should just do 1 or 2 big shows of it and film it for a DVD.

"In addition, Tipton told Rafabasa.com that a planned "Nostradamus" tour with material exclusively from that album (featuring a full theatrical production) will now likely be postponed until a later date."

That's fucked. They're gonna play a full album live, which they've played almost all the songs through their career, before playing a NEW fresh album live, for which they've only played 2 of 14 songs?????

British heavy metal legends JUDAS PRIEST will celebrate the 30th anniversary of their classic 1980 album "British Steel" by embarking on a special tour next year featuring a performance of that LP in its entirety. This information was revealed by the band's guitarists, K.K. Downing and Glenn Tipton, during an interview they gave to the Spanish web site Rafabasa.com yesterday (Sunday, March 15) prior to the Madrid concert on JUDAS PRIEST's "Priest Feast" tour. In addition, Tipton told Rafabasa.com that a planned "Nostradamus" tour with material exclusively from that album (featuring a full theatrical production) will now likely be postponed until a later date.
