the Painkiller cd--not overdone in my opinion--not by a long shot
I listen to it over & over again for Painkiller--Touch Of Evil & Between The Hammer & The Anvil--those are my 3 faves from that cd--just to hear them do Painkiller & Between The Hammer & The Anvil in concert last year was amazing !! |

I would have to say that I rate Painkiller just after Stained Class, HBFL, B Steel, and SFV...not neccessarily for quality of music (although that is a huge part of it) but also for the era at the time these albums were released. I've rocked to Painkiller soooo many times, and still do...and that album, at that particular time, totally restored all faith in Priest being the Metal Gods!!! I just wish we didn't have to wait so long for it to come out...but Priest work at their time frame, not mine...I'm just glad they put out a record that finally had some balls teeth to it!!! It totally washed away the taste of Turbo and Ram It Down!!!! |

| I too believe PK is over done. If you followed JP back in the early 80's (as I did) you tend to agree as all their releases (except Turbo) were better than PK. Lyrics are borderline laughable, too recycled musically and the tour wasnt all that. Can anyone ever forget the dreaded Operation Rock n Roll in 1991? That wasnt Priest at their best for sure..
