They were the pioneers into harder Metal and the roots of thrash. I would be hessitant to call Nostradamus a "metal album".  Judas Priest are still a heavy metal band,but its a real question if Nostradamus is a metal album,I say NO.
The album is way to experimental,to soft and to opera for a metal album. 

Maybe the next LP will blow all of us away!

Thank you Numero Uno,and I agree with EVERYTHING you have said too. Judas Priest is still "METAL".  But  the Nostradamus album IS NOT METAL. It has "SOME" metal in it,but as a whole ...it is simply not a METAL album. Why is this so hard for people to understand here? Its not rocket science guys.

And to "Coilerine"......its not about randomly "insulting" each other without a reason,it is about posting a post in a respectful mannor without being a smartass to people like SadWingsRaging has done along with jimmyjames as well...both smartass members who don't learn what they read before opening up thier mouths and removing all doubt.

WOW!....why do you all have to be so insulting with each other!....everybody has got different opinions, and mine is that JP was metal, is metal now and will always be metal... there are some "songs" that maybe cannot be deffined as the usual metal Priest has always done, but this band is heavy metal and that`s my statement.... bands always change, make experiments, crazy things...to see how far they can get...i think this kind of music has a lot to give more than killer guitars...and guys, lets face it, not even Priest will ever give us something like "Painkiller" again... that was GENIOUS!....and that kind of things only happen once hahahaha....(i hope i`m mistaken of course!!!).......anyway love the Priest, and i really pray for them to come to Venezuela!!!!!.....
