Not really comparing it to Unleashed, it does beat the shit out of all the T.O. era live albums, Priest Live, A Touch of Evil Live and Rising in the East.
[Necroticist] Friday, June 04, 2010 8:44:26 AM
Here's where i get flak again - sorry but not impressed....it doesn't compare to 'Unleashed' in any shape or form and basically i think Rob does far better solo...(just my opinion OK?)
[icecreamman] Friday, June 04, 2010 7:51:42 AM
Priest best live recording since Unleashed in the East!!!

What can I say, it's an awesome package

The quality of the DVD is superb!!  The lighting and the camera views put me right there and makes it look like a packed house!!  Unlike some of their past videos, the audio and visual are in sync with each other (lol).  The live CD is great!!  And another copy of the re-mastered CD never hurts.  Oh, love the packaging (though it could have used a little more blood lol).

Nah, you will never conform. Your an Old cogder set in your ways. Better to change the course of a river than your view of Detroit.

[guidogodoy] Thursday, May 13, 2010 10:27:06 PM
You most certainly heard correctly! LOL!!! All roads out of Detroit have mile names. I live at 3 mile. All my life, we have known "3 Mile Park" as a local. They choose to name it "Patterson Park" a number of years ago. Screw that!!!! Rename the street as well if you want me to go on-board! Three Mile Street leads to Three Mile Park!!!

DTE was named late after (Detroit) Thomas Edison - local power company. Screw that as well! It is a ski-hill / city! Rename them all and I might conform!   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by spapad from Thursday, May 13, 2010 7:01:07 PM)

Between the footage of  "Rapid Fire"  on youtube, along with the  "Living After Midnight"  premiere clip on this very site, I can honestly say I'm stoked to owning this DVD and all else it contains!     It'll serve as yet another wonderful souvenir to the show I caught last July in NJ, as well as another worthy Priest item to my catalog!

I don't care what anyone says....this band STILL has the goods to keep going, and the industry itself NEEDS Judas Priest STILL;  showing everyone how honest-to-God, british-style heavy metal is meant to be delivered.

There....my two cents....don't spend it all in one place, eh?

[Budred] Friday, April 23, 2010 3:01:10 PM
I understand what you were saying and totally agree. I'm concerned about their ages also
and was merely stating (if) no album I'd be happy with a tour. The last 3 or 4 times that I've
seen Priest I've had apprehensions about going thinking they probably won't sound very good.
The Metal Masters Tour I didn't decide to go until the day of the show. I didn't hesitate for the
British Steel Tour Because that's the album that started it for me. I thought they sounded great
both times but I understand age conquers all eventually. I'm glad for the ride thus far. 31 years
and 16 shows. It's been fun! I would like to sqeeze a little more out of them though. Peace!

[J.D. DIAMOND] Friday, April 23, 2010 1:45:21 PM
No NO NO Budred thats the whole point,if we want another studio album sooner then we don't want them to tour!!!!  This is why we have to wait 3 to 4 years inbetween albums and it sucks!! How much longer will they milk this British Steel tour anyways? I mean it was cool for a while but as I said they announced they would be touring British Steel March 17th of 2009 and they are still rolling with it,and probably will the rest of this year.

With all of this said now I really am changing my thoughts about how many studio albums they have left in them to record,I said they have 2 albums left in them but now I'm facing reality and I think that the band only has 1 more studio album left in them. This next studio album will be the last of the band's career so lets hope it is a very quality heavy British metal album.

I just can't see them doing 2 more albums,if they did each member except for Scott would be in thier early 70's for christ's sake ya know? Glenn is 62 right now and by the time the next album is released and then a 6 year tour after that Glenn will be 70 and he will be fishing, not preparing another studio album ect.....

[Budred] Friday, April 23, 2010 2:02:38 AM
Man, I must be getting old. I still remember bands doing an album and tour every year.
The first time Priest took two years I was like WTF, why so long. Now I agree with J.D..
Every two years would be cool. If not a new album this year I hope they at least tour.
 Peace!

I know Becks,I hear ya but I don't really think its a thing about getting older,I know Rob has back problems but because Lemmy is turning 64 this year and has a smoke in his mouth and a jack & coke all the time and he tours his ass off and still puts out an album every 2 years. Same with Saxon, and the Motorhead fans as well as the Saxon fans still are getting "quality" albums every 2 years. I just wish Priest had this drive inside them to do the same thing. Its probably about $money.

While Priest are striving at getting a little extra cash by touring like this British Steel tour for now over a year,Motorhead & Saxon are cranking out studio albums so thier fans get more material to listen to especially when they retire,Motorhead & Saxon fans will get more albums to chose from.. Lets face it,the band aren't getting any younger and with the band's pattern of releasing an album every 3 to 4 years these days I think they only have maybe 2 more studio LPs left in them.

Rob came back in 2004 and Angel Of Retribution was released in 2005.....they should of had Nostradamus out in 2007....a new one out in 2009 and 9 months from right now they could of had yet another one out. It is what it is,but I just wish the band would focus more on writting albums rather than getting the extra buck....

I think that's a part of getting older, JD. Although yes I know there are bands who release albums regularly. But I'll go for quality rather than quantity *coughMaidencough* LOL! I agree about BS drawing out a bit, it would have been better to have the tour this year with the special package released straight away or something, but logistically that may not have worked LOL!

[Maple Syrup] Thursday, April 22, 2010 5:48:57 PM
Im gonna agree with JD on this one. Nothing new here ho hum... How about releasing something from the vault (Any older show from previous tours prior to Vengeance). I had written a big reply on this, but was fucking timed out and lost the entire thing, so yeah Priest shoulda done something more for older fan who has been following them since 1979. Thanks for timing me out after a login & after a lengthy reply. Bullshit. MpleSyrp
[J.D. DIAMOND] Thursday, April 22, 2010 2:08:51 PM
Well the band announced that they would be playing the British Steel album in concert on March 17th 2009....over a year ago now,so I'm really struggleing to find interest in the British Steel new package ect...but I'm glad for fans that are excited about it,its just getting old for me man,I may not play British Steel for a few years after this! lol!  I hate to break it to Hellrider, but I think the rest of this year 2010 will be about "British Steel" with NO hints of a new album in the making, they may be starting to work on a new album but we will not get any information till sometime early 2011. "SIGH".

I miss the 80's when a band released an album every 2 years on the mark,no milking it....just pump out an album every 2 freakin' years, that was awsome. Even Turbo how much it sucked(and still sucks) didn't discourage me as much as Nostradamus did because with Turbo back then I knew they would have a new album out in 2 short years and they did with Ram It Down and then 2 years after that...bam...Painkiller. These days are very frustrating waiting for something new because of these 5 year-long tours they do...fuck,why not just tour an album for 10 years? lol!

Thats the good thing about Saxon and Motorhead vs. Judas Priest and Iron Maiden,Saxon & Motorhead have always put out an album every 2 years, the only reason why Saxon had to wait 3 years between Lionheart(2004) and The Inner Sanctum(2007) was because Biff's house burnt down in France in 2005,if it were not for that, The Inner Sanctum would of been out in 2006. I don't care about Maiden because they suck these days anyways they are a lost cause and give the long time fans no hope but Priest has something excellent to offer and its hard waiting for a new album for 4 years....."sigh".
[Becks] Wednesday, April 21, 2010 11:41:35 PM

Ok everyone, regarding this release, it has come to my attention (via the Halford Q) that some places selling the 3 Disc edition of this release state that Rapid Fire is not on the live disc or DVD? Can anyone find out anything solid about this? Why cut out the opener of the concert? According to Amazon.com, Rapid Fire is on the live CD, but that's the 2 disc edition.

Personally I kinda like the new cover. At least it isn't a dramatic change. I mean, the tilt of the razor blade hasn't changed. It's more straight-to-the-point now, in a way.

But still. Nothing quite like the original.
