Very cool! There's a female-fronted one called Judith Priest in TX somewhere. I have yet to find the local rabid Priest fan community in my area.

I've added them via MySpace. You can find the band at my MySpace page but you can't listen a song there at this time. They're in the beginning and they want to bring updates at a later time.

I love Rob's versatility. Many singers seem to stick to one range, but he's all over the place. I wish I were a dude so I could sing in a cover band!!

I agree Deep Freeze. Time and age can change a vocalists voice, and if the style does damage to the cords that will change it as well.
That's why many vocalists have little "tricks" to help, like hot water with lemon, or tea with honey. And if you want to keep your voice you must excercise it, like everything else, or lose it.
I have what they call "singers nodules". Julie Andrews had them, she also had a bad surgeon who bothched the job!
I think Rob still has an incredible voice. I saw Priest at Jones Beach for the metalmasters tour this summer and he sounded great to me! [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Deep Freeze from Tuesday, October 07, 2008 8:42:10 AM) Edited at: Tuesday, October 07, 2008 11:35:05 PM

I do not know if I can agree that Rob has "many voices" so much as he has changed over the years. His style has taken an incredible toll on his voice. He cannot do some of the things he could as a younger vocalist but then, age will do that to you!!!

I don't know, Mysterio, the range of his voice is 4,76 octaves and the feeling is as if he really has several different voices. I actually like his early voice, it's very sexy and mild and deep... I like his present voice too, but it's just different, that's why the songs are different too. I wonder if he can sing Run of the Mill or Dreamer/Deceiver now... Anyway his present voice is exciting too, I like it very much. Rob is a real wonder :-)  I hope that one day I will meet him, who knows :-)

A lot of rock/metal vocalists usually have one voice.  AcDc's vocalists Bon/Brian have only one voice.  Def leppard's Joe Elliot has one voice that he an make high and the same with Iron Maidens Bruce Dickenson.

How many voices over the year do you think that Rob has.  Use any the songs to illistrate your point.

YGANT/LAM you have Rob' rocker voice.  Painkiller,SFV/FWB have his Goblin voice.  WFF/D and R/GManilishi have his croner voice.  Plus he can mix it up.  I think that he is a better singer at 57 than he was at 27.  He does not have to sing super high all the.  I love that he can mix it up.

I am a Led Zeppelin fan and I can tell you that Rob along with Aerosmiths Steven Tyler sound better now than they did when they were early 20's.
