OK Dime, I tried to watch the film over the weekend. I managed to get through a large portion of it. Although it was certainly interesting, I find this kind of film to be incredibly tedious. I liken it to the tripe that loser Michael Moore puts out, although Zeigeist was measurably more interesting and far better done. I do not mean to insinuate that this is a Moore film, quite the contrary, it is a very good movie. I mean the whole "conspiracy theory" thing is just too much for my feeble mind to digest.
The film seems to imply that religion, governments and banking have all conspired against the common man. While I am no fan of religion, I just cannot follow this kind of thinking. I am a capitalist at heart, I suppose. I am far more interested in making money and creating wealth than I am in what happens to "Joe Public". I suppose that is a terrible thing to say but, with me, what you see is what you get. I am what I am, as "Popeye" might say.
I do appreciate that you "turned me on" to the movie. I hope I have not disappointed you with my thoughts. I am just not all that liberal, nor am I what one might consider a "free thinker". I am just a man. Part of the system. In fact, I happen to support that system. It has helped me to do well in life and provide. That others have surely suffered by that very same system is regrettable but I guess it is just life. Some get, some do not. Some have, some have not. That's how it goes.
