the correct translation for uomo in English is men...because either in italian or spanish uomo is singular but it's not refering to a single person (a man)...it means mankind...and mankind in english would be the right word
the fall of mankind
but the translation here is being done as a literal translation...it means that the meaning of words is as if taken from the dictionary...
what I mean is that in this case uomo doesn't mean man because is not talking about a male individual, it's talking about the human race...
Correction....not "men" rather "MAN."
Contraction ("of the man"): dell'uomo <===singular.
Hey, we strive for linguistic accuracy here, now don't we? LOL!!

it means what guido said...it's pestilence and plague....when rob is singing the chorus for the last time there's a second voice who sings the english version just after the original sentences
nella tentazione (into temptation)
cercando la gloria (in search of glory)
il prezzo da pagare (the price we pay)
e'la caduta dell'uomo (the fall of men)
