TOPIC: Painkilller is overdone
[Deep Freeze] Saturday, June 13, 2009 10:43:02 AM
That's very well said, pao. You know, whether or not Painkiller is "overdone" or "overrated" or whatever is rather subjective anyway. As you mentioned, it is different for everyone. To me, Painkiller represents a time in my life when I was straying from Priest's music. I had really not paid a lot of attention to them for a while and then Painkiller was released. It had a sound that reminded me of the older, classic Priest and I fell in love with it.

There has been some debate over British Steel, and all but I like the album. Period. I do not see how that qualifies me as a "sheep" or a "fanboy" or any other juvenile insult. Those that like Turbo are welcome to that opinion. I do not care for it. Don't hate it. I just do not have it in my top five. Same with Point of Entry and Rockarolla. Does not mean they are bad albums.  I think the best part in all of this is that we all have our opinions and we all can agree we LOVE the Band. At the end of it all, THAT is what matters.
