Hey Al-fons Blazing!! Haven't seen ya in a while! Hey....I also think that Brave New World was half good...they have 5 tracks that are great quality Iron Maiden but the other 5 tracks...are not as strong....
Dance Of Death I didn't like at all....but I know there must be fans who either love the album or like a few tunes on it and lable it "ok album"......
A Matter Of Life And Death I also thought was Maiden's best album since 1984 "Powerslave".....except I didn't like the opener "Different World" either......or "Benjamin Bragg".....
....but I really think the other 8 songs are quality Iron Maiden and the best since Powerslave.
These Colours Don't Run
Brighter Than A Thousand Suns
The Pilgrim
The Longest Day
Out Of The Shadows
For The Greater Good Of God
Lord Of Light
The Legacy
Just those 8 songs make up an albums worth of good Iron Maiden material in my opinion..........
Dance Of Death and Brave New World don't come close to this album at all in my opinion.
Motorhead has been extremly consistant compared to Iron Maiden

The Maiden albums of the 90's suck. I like half the songs from "Brave new world", three songs from "Dance of death", and love "A matter of life and death", except for Different world.
Saw them live in 2008, buy didn't go on 2009, because I didn't want to spend my money, hearing the same songs, that I had heard a dozen times before live.
I hope their new studio album is as good as "A matter of life and death" | | J.D. DIAMOND wrote: | | HA! Finally somebody who is a die hard Maiden fan sees what I am saying: I too like Iron Maiden better than Motorhead because I am more of a heavy metal fan than hard rock
but Motorhead has put out album after album of great songs and again great albums for what Motorhead should be doing. Way more consistant than Iron Maiden has.
Thats all I was saying.....and I found it pretty hard to believe that there are fans like our forum member "british steel" who find the 1990's Iron Maiden albums just as great as the
early Maiden albums....I know there are fans who like those albums and thats great but there are a bvery small percentage of them.,.
I would say that there are about 9% of Iron Maiden fans who think there was no difference in the quality of songs/albums between the early 80's albums
and the entire 90's albums by Maiden. Just an observation, thats all. Motorhead has never had albums in a row ...consistant albums that are under par by the fans opinions.

Alright so maybe I shouldn't have jumped on the maiden boat with out fully understanding what you are saying..
I actually just bought kiss of death off ebay mabye a few months ago... and it is just like old motorhead. In fact it was a suprising as how some songs off that ablum and Inferno had that sound...
Other then that.. There are a good 6 or 7 that I honestly don't own or have on cassette tape so I rarely ever even listen too..
LOL!! You are correct. Maiden was less conisitant with the 90's releases. I hate to admit that..

No No Sinner.....I only wanted to hear your opinions of the "1990's" Iron Maiden albums.......and now I see your opinions.............
Iron Maiden's albums of the entire 1990s are under-par ablums and the band in the 1990's was totally ....(here is the key to this discusion)...."inconsistant".
Yes....I've noticed through the last 19 years that 99% o f true Iron Maiden fans think that the albums of the 90's are not that great of quality and 4 albums in a row of under-par albums
is not being "consistant"....
Motorhead..... I've noticed through the last 19 years that 99% of true Motorhead fans have been extremely happy with all thier releases except 1992's "March Or Die" album...........
1990 Motorhead album "1916" was a great record by Motorhead elites and then the 1992 March Or Die album I've noticed 99% of Motorhead fans tend not to like this record that much...
But then with the next 9 straight studio albums in a row of consistancy.....you've got.....(1993) "Bastards" album,(1995) "Sacrifice"......(1996)"Overnight Sensation"....(1999) "Snake Bite Love"...
.(2000)"We Are Motorhead......(2002) "Hammered".........(2004) "Inferno".....(2006)"Kiss Of Death"...(2008)...... "Motorizer".....
All 9 awsome Motorhead records and I haven't heard one negative thing about any of these albums by fans throughout the years.....
This is why I keep saying that "Motorhead" is more "consistant" in putting out quality albums than Iron Maiden......forum member british steel disagrees and thats fine but
I am just posting what I've noticed throughout the years.........If I had to chose one band...either Iron Maiden or Motorhead...I would pick "Iron Maiden because I love old Iron Maiden.....
But I also like Motorhead and I'm a knowlegable fan of all Maiden albums and all Motorhead albums..............
And like I keep saying....Maiden is cool but Motorhead has been way way more consistant with quality records for thier fans and fan base.

Dammit...
I hate to admit but I do agree with you on most part... I really like No prayer for the dying, however fear of the dark was terrible.. except for the title track.
X factor I bought and didn't even listen to it, I think I just bought it to own in my collection. Virtial Eleven - I"m not even going there..
BUT... What about the self titled.. number of the beast, somewhere on time, killers, powerslave, piece of mind, brave new world..etc.. (I"m sure there is a another)
Again my opinion, but those are enough for me to step aside and name them one of the best overall metal bands and influential of all time...
so they made some "poop".. Priest is by far my favorite band and they as well made some lesser songs, shall I say.
Dont get me wrong, I love motorhead. I just can't put them "quite" with maiden. again opinion, I dont wanna step on toes.. I'll simmer down.

OK.....so what do "you" think about Iron Maiden in the entire 1990's...... (1990)No Prayer For The Dying.......(1992)"Fear Of The Dark"............(1995)"The X Factor"...........(1998)"Virtual Eleven"........???????????????????
What do you think...what is your "opinions" on the 1990's Iron Maiden albums as a whole...not just 1 song...I mean I want you to tell me if you think each album is "top notch quality" Iron Maiden...
I think "Be Quick Or Be Dead" is one of Maiden's best songs but as for the album of Fear Of The Dark? It sucks the big one...... ..one of Iron Maiden's lame albums..... Now......your turn?
I would like to see how many fans actually think the Iron Maiden albums of the 1990's are just as equal and just as good as any other Iron Maiden albums.......this ought to be good....

I just took the time to read what everyone has been writing regarding this...
Maiden is the one of the most talented metal bands, they never changed the sound. Never sold out and went techno or disco (yes I'm referring to kiss)..The never gave up on Eddie.. and c'mon created power metal.. (along with others)
So they made a lil filler.. I know that the later stuff is lil more tame compared to the later....~ Brave new world was the acception.
But what the hell was wrong with Seventh Son.. Fear of the Dark I can see.. (but hey the song fear of the dark is friggin awesome), I guess I can also see no prayer for the dyin.. but overall come on!
Motorhead is soild as hell... but they didn't necessarily create what Maiden did sound or talent wise.
I'm sorry Lemmy I love ya.. no disrespect mean't.
