Yes you are correct Skybreaker, they are going "backwards". Its just that people can't see it like we are seeeing this. One might ask the question: Are they getting "soft" on us?
And to answer JT's question: Yes I really do think that they would put another experimental album out regardless of any negative reviews on Nostradamus you bet. This is the
band that is a box of chocolates remember? Ya never know what your going to get!!! lol!!
Compared to band's albums of the last 5 years like Motorhead's Inferno,Kiss Of Death and Motorizer(2004-2008)and Saxon's Lionheart,The Inner Sanctum and Into The Labyrinth-
-(2004-2009) they are leaps and bounds better than Nostradamus and Winter Songs by far. And JT mentioned some of the heavier tracks on Nostradamus but they are not that
"quality" of songs to me even though they are heavyish.............they quality of these songs are nowhere near the charts of a song as good as Demonizer,Judas Rising,Hellrider or
Deal With The Devil,Whells Of Fire, not even close in my books.
Hellrider is the one to turn to for faith of this next record cause I've lost mine "again". ("SIGH"). I'm NOT looking forwards to the next Judas Priest album because with them....I don't
know "what" I will be getting,a heavy metal album or an experimental watered down "try something new" record? I don't want to get my hopes up just to be let down by another album
that Ken and the guys wanted to "do something different" with. And I know its something they have always done so don't go there(lol!)as they experimented with half of point of Entry
with weak tracks like "Don't Go,You Say Yes,All The Way,Trouble Shooter" and then the shit Turbo album,Ram It Down was experimental with weak tracks like Love Zone,I'm A Rocker
Love You To Death, and then the Demolition album that was terrible,Nostradamus and now Winter Songs? These are not christmas carols, these are religious christian hymns!!!!
This band should be focusing on making normal heavy metal instead of trying to push the bounderies of heavy metal and coming up short every time they try. Its getting "old".
I wouldn't be suprised at all if they came up with something even more outlandish than Nostradamus and Winter Songs put together! Is this band coming to its end?

Seems to me what Priest is doing with this pushing metal forward concept is releasing Cd's like Nostradamus and Winter Songs (yes I know its Halford) and throw in just enough classic priest metal (although not much) to keep the fans hanging on hoping for something better in the next CD while they expirement with this stuff. Looks like they are almost going backwards instead of forwards to me.
