The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Rolling Stone Magazine, and the Grammy's are ALL controlled by the same snuty, ingorant, close minded, conceited people.
They think there musical tastes and likings are "elite" and above everyone else because THEY like it. That doesn't mean its good if Rolling Stone likes something. Notice how they slag EVERYTHING that IS good? I mean come on. Seriously. There music CRITICS and JOURNALISTS, they're obsessed with their own opinions because somebody reads it.
The Mars Volta might be good technically as musicians, but that Tetragrammaton song is fucking HORRIBLE, its just NOISE. I don't care HOW good you are, if you can't write a song that actually sounds like a song, don't write music.
I'll never understand these modern rock bands. Its all just mindless power chord strumming nowadays with WHINNY lyrics that aren't even cool, there boarder line emo. Why play When You Were Young when you can play Fight Fire With Fire?
