LOL! HAHA sure I'll humor you,why not...heres "To lIve By The Sword" off of Lionheart album.The Nomad song is cool too,but the problem is that Brave New World only has 5 songs out of 10 songs that are cool,the other 5 songs suck man. They have 5 killer Maiden tracks: The Wicker Man,Ghost Of The Navigator, The Nomad,Out Of The Silent Planet and The Thin Line Between Love And Hate .And they have 5 shitty boring mundane overrated tracks like the boring: Brave New World, Blood Brothers,The Mercenary ,Dream Of Mirrors and The Fallen Angel.
That makes only a half an album thats worth a shit,this is all my personal opinions of course but I'm basing this off of feed back from multiple fans who have commented on both Maiden albums and Saxon albums.What I'm saying is that Saxon for what they are supposed to be doing are doing it "better" than what Maiden has been doing the last 20 years thats the last 7 studio albums from them. They are all "half-assed" with the exception of 2006's "A Matter Of Life And Death"...that album has 10 songs on it and in my opinion 8 of them are classic Iron Maiden,thier best album since 1988's Seventh Son album.
But the last 7 studio albums by Maiden are really not that great. Brave New World to me is only half good,Dance Of Death is absolutely terrible in my opinion.Now I know you hate the Blaze era and so do I!!! But lets go 2 albums before tha...1990 "No Prayer For The Dying" and 1992 "Fear Of The Dark"...both those albums are extreamly "poor" song writting and theres only like 2 songs from each album that are worthy,the rest of those 2 albums are throw-away material to the max man,they are fucking garbage. I'm not saying you have to like Saxon better than Maiden,I'm just sticking up for Saxon because they have blown Iron Maiden out of the freaking water with Saxon's last 7 studio albums,they tower over Iron Maiden.
Bruce dickinson is way better than that guy in Saxon. Do you really think that guy in Saxon could pull off a song like Nomad ,The Tropper, Aces High?? I don't think so. That guy in Saxon is just not at the same level as Bruce.
How about an Iron Maiden-Saxon shootout?
Post a Saxon video as good as the one I posted below and I guarantee you i'll post something by Maiden that is better.
