Becks!! Craig ordered mine from Amazon.co.uk. It was supposed to be a surprise but I got wind of it and was very impatient once I knew it was on the way. It is such an amazing package! You have to get it! Try Amazon he had no problems there... OMG!! The drumming shots are amazing! As are the rest of the guys... Well worth the wait and Craig has a very happy wife now lol.. Turns out he enjoyed the disc as much as I did. The songs sound so fresh it is utterly amazing! Thank you all. It is all very exciting! I am told there should be well over 400 people there. NICE crowd, I think!! We're lucky to get 50 or so on a regular night doing the bar scene so this will be VERY special, not to mention the exposure as 'Rider pointed out. Getting "in" with these biker clubs is a HUGE coup! They throw great parties and they PAY very VERY well! MUCH better than the bars!!! HA!!!!!!!!!!!
From what the guy told me, they have heard about us and decided to dispatch him last night to check us out. After our set he came up and introduced himself and asked if we were interested in the gig. Couldn't say "yes" fast enough!!! HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One of the nice things about Vegas is that it is growing but still has a fairly close-knit live music scene. Its pretty easy to get noticed. Worked out for us anyway!! Nothing like living in LA or New York or those places where there are a million acts looking to get noticed. |

I'd wear a vest under that shirt for that gig. The solidarity thing will go great until the
alcohol kicks in. But seriously, that should be an awesome event. pictures should
definitely be in order. Thanks much for posting in the web police thread but you don't have
to post there. I'm pretty sure that was a bad idea. Sometimes my thoughts, after being
thought out, aren't as good as I thought, I think(LOL). Take care man and thanks again. |

Still, it is a BLAST to be there during the WC. I was there the last time they won and, man, what a party! Ever see 10 people standing on TOP of a palm tree cheering on a team? It is freakin' crazy. LOL! Yep a massive twat. He needs a punch in the head.
I have paid hardly any attention to rugby this year, but I would be surprised if we won the tri-nations. Bledisloe we may win only cos Aussie is poos, or has been in recent times, but who knows. Grella is bloody lucky he didn't break Bertos' leg in that first tackle, what an idiot. The number of Aussies around the place saying 'aggression is part of the game, kiwis just need to harden up' is a little mind boggling - it's soccer, not boofhead style rugby league. If they play like that in the world cup they will get smoked and will lose players for games due to red cards.
I'd say if we keep on playing how we are we will really push a few teams in the WC. After this mornings win the other teams in our pool will be sitting up and taking more notice.

Yeah he refs in the States and apparently he's a real no bullshit type of ref, loves handing out the reds. I'd say the reason he kept them in his pocket would be that if anyone got a red they'd be forced to sit out world cup games. Bet ya anything the Aussies knew the ref wasn't going to be sending people off and kept that piece of info to themselves whilst they went about trying to wreck our chances by injuring guys. Aussies are sneaky, underhanded, little pissants and they hate it when things aren't going their way.

Yeah, the ref did that in the first half too. 2 minutes of extra time given, 3 minutes extra played. Apparently the ref said to Ryan Nelsen that he would have given those two Aussies red cards if it wasn't a friendly. WTF? An illegal tackle is an illegal tackle.

I watched the last 20 minutes and it was a nail biter, then Serbian fans started invading the pitch and throwing things on to the pitch, and their captain had to appeal to them over the PA system to be calm so the game could finish! A brilliant result for NZ, and like you said will surely give us a confidence boost going in to our next friendly match and the WC.

NZ beat Serbia in a pre - World Cup friendly match. 1-0. This is probably the best result NZ have ever had in our footballing history. Serbia have a lot of players from some of the top European teams and cruised through their qualifying group. They are ranked 15 in the world, NZ are ranked 78. Cheers Joe, Bud! Would be cool if I got to meet Scott and get an autograph, like you say Joe, meeting my favourite drummer would be so awesome lol!
Yeah the main concert on the saturday night will need to finish pretty well on 11pm cos of noise control stuff, the midnight sessions are held somewhere else in the city and are for a smaller group of people. So they should be fine lol. |

Yeah, I saw the website before I signed off last night. Ever-evolving linup that is Hail!
Good. Looks like quite the eclectic lineup of bands / artists participating in the event. What also struck me as a "what the hell kinda country is this?" moment is when I saw what TIMES they were playing. Here, all shows have to be fairly punctual if they are outside. Usually, MUST end at 11pm or they risk fines for noise violations. Were I in Spain, a concert often wouldn't START until 11pm.
A show like Ozzfest starting at 11am, once you are in you are trapped. Heat of Nashville in Summer, can't bring in even your own water? SUX! Good for you, Becks. Too bad the passing of Slipknot bassist, Paul Gray will mark some sadness on this tour. He was to take the place of Dave Ellefson who was slated to return to Megadeth.
Thought the Slipknot drummer, Paul Bostaph, was to tour with them, though. Read all about it when I read of Gray's death. Perhaps Gray's death shook up the drummer as well leaving the position to Travis?

Ok I am VERY excited about this! In August there is something in my home province (Taranaki) called G-Taranaki, an international guitar fesitval which started last year. This years headliner was announced a couple of weeks ago - Slash. I thought yep I'd pay to see him. But today it got a thousand times better! A band called Hail! are playing - formed by Ripper Owens, and guess who's on drums??????
SCOTT TRAVIS!!!!
I can't fuckin wait!!!!!! I'm actually going to see a member of Judas Priest live!!!!!! May seem small to some people, but I am so so excited to see a member of my favourite band live! I wonder if I'll be able to track him down and get him to sign something and get a pic with him, lol.

You should be pleasantly surprised with Slash. I saw him this weekend and he put on a very
good concert. A few of his songs were a little slow for me but overall he was pretty rockin'. He
had a heavy, bluesy, kind of sound. He played some Guns and Roses songs also. Night Train
and Sweet Child O' Mine. I'm so sick of hearing that song, definitely the lowlight for me but the
crowd loved it. Also Scott Travis is approachable. He seems very laidback and enjoys the fan
interaction. Ripper should be cool also. He's also approachable should you want to meet him.
Take care and have a goodtime. [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Becks from Tuesday, May 25, 2010 9:50:50 PM) | | Becks wrote: | | Ok I am VERY excited about this! They sent back an automatic reply saying that Bruce gets thousands of emails so don't be disappointed if we can't email you back etc, so didn't think to much more about it. Anyway yesterday I get an email from somebody who works at the BBC saying that Bruce will be giving me a shout out on his show that night. Not only that, he played my request and read part of the email I sent him over the air. Awesome to hear the lead singer of Iron Maiden mentioning me on his show which is listened to by millions of people around the world. It's made my week. |

That's really cool! I've sent in requests from time to time, never had one played but it doesn't bother me, he plays enough great tunes as it is.
What I am bothered about is that this coming friday will be his last ever show its the end of an era. However I understand he will be dedicating it to RJD, so the show is going out on a high!
Just checking it out.... hey, was it the Voivod track? They're not a band I've ever listened to much before, but this is pretty good. And that is why I've listened to Bruce's show all these years, to pick up new bands and songs. If anyone wants to hear it my song starts at the 50:15 mark and he reads the email afterwards. Just google Bruce Dickinsons Friday Rock Show. | | spapad wrote: | | How Cool is that JJ! Thanks!
No, to your question. First thing he asked me and the reason why the first person I found to even answer turned me down. "Just not worth it." First beekeeper did give me the name and number of the guy that will help, though.
Problem will still exist of a non-maintained hive dripping honey attracting ants, roaches and other vermin + possible damage to the house, we are both hoping we caught it early enough. Any further damage, I can control. [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Vaillant 3.0 from Friday, May 21, 2010 8:04:57 PM) | | Vaillant 3.0 wrote: | | Congrats, Guids!

It'll be there for weeks to a month, be clamped to my house but I don't freakin' care! I'd be willing to hold it up myself for a month at this point.

Hey, thats good news Guido- stupid insects..
Anyway, the sun is shining, the birds are singing, I'm back home and I have not only finished but PRINTED OUT ALL MY SEMESTER TWO WORK! Oh, what a feeling, won't be a total relief until I hand it in next week (by which point I will be too uber-stressed about my end-of-year performance to enjoy the feeling). So, time to head out in the garden and enjoy a little light music...

Im aware of that conversation. One of the last convos I had with that person before I became shit in their book. I can't help that. I only know, I'm not the one who stops by to insult people every few months. Nor do I care. We all know that there will be shitheads here for as long as this place exists. Whether they be one and the same or just someone looking to flame. We get them all. They come and they go. Such is life. [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by J.D.
