I can't speak for everyone on the forum, but ultimately, I like the variety in their discography. I do like Nostradamus, but I agree that this would be the time, if ever, for them to put out a serious british metal offering. I would love to see something along the lines of Defenders of the Faith mixed with Angel of Retribution. And I don't think the other 4 members of Priest would appreciate being lumped in with the Winter Songs thing. That was a Halford deal, something Rob wanted to cross off his bucket list. I just think that doing the British Steel revival tour right after releasing a new album, was bad timing. I think a short Nostradamus tour to promote their new material and a summer British Steel tour would have made more sense, but hey, I'm not in the music industry, what do I know. I just hope to hear something awesome before they hang up their axes.

Yeah Hellrider what we are seeing here is our favorite band has been getting soft on us all the way around. 5 long years have passed since Angel of Retribution and all that there is to show for is Nostradamus and Winter Songs. Who knows what kind of mood the band members are in at the time they write the next album? Getting a killer british metal album from these guys is not a "shoe in" at all as we all know, the next LP may turn out like Ram It Down for all we know. But this is what 95% of members on this forum like isn't it? The all like the fact that they never know what they will get from Judas Priest...could be a Painkiller, could be a Turbo, could be a British Steel, could be a cross between Nostradamus and Winter Songs...thats what almost everybody likes here is the fact that they can't count on one particular style.
