hey COOOMMMMMMMMAAAAAANNNNNNDDDDDDEEEEERRRRRRRR no offence man i know how you really like the album but actually i find defenders has more power then angel i also like the feeling much more that defenders has.yeah hell bent for leather is not the most powerfull but it is a great album i enjoy it very much and again i like the feeling of that album.angel has a totally different feel to it to me

I can't speak for everyone on the forum, but ultimately, I like the variety in their discography. I do like Nostradamus, but I agree that this would be the time, if ever, for them to put out a serious british metal offering. I would love to see something along the lines of Defenders of the Faith mixed with Angel of Retribution. And I don't think the other 4 members of Priest would appreciate being lumped in with the Winter Songs thing. That was a Halford deal, something Rob wanted to cross off his bucket list. I just think that doing the British Steel revival tour right after releasing a new album, was bad timing. I think a short Nostradamus tour to promote their new material and a summer British Steel tour would have made more sense, but hey, I'm not in the music industry, what do I know. I think Angel Of Retribution has enough power. To be honest hellrider,I think Defenders Of The Faith is "softer" than Angel Of Retribution.Its not a bad thing,its my opinion.But if Angel Of Retribution lacks power in your opinion,Defenders Of The Faith must really lack power and so must Hell Bent For Leather no? I'm kind of with JD on the new Priest album thing, I want something that will rip my face off!!! LOL! But, in saying that, I think I will be happy with any new release. It's hard for me to say though, I can't see in to the future LOL! They're getting to the stage in their career/lives that to release any new metal album is an achievement really.
