Lucky you. I get to hear their nonsense at all THREE concerts! AARGH!
IS there a beer tent at Pine Knob? Just individual stands right below / behind the hill last I recall. Speaking of "recalling," what fond memories of my youth bringing in coolers, setting up camp and then watching people slide down the entire hill on a rainy concert evening! HO HO!!! Too funny! It was always really best when they were either really big (slid ALLLLLLL the way down the hill) and / or really drunk as they fell the funniest and typically screamed obscenities afterward. LOL!!!! So THAT'S what you meant about being a God band back in the day.... now I get it, I had no idea. EEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWW! At least they aren't going to be at 1 of the shows I'm going to! I've only heard parts of the 2 songs on YouTube....not impressed to say the least. Now that I know they wanted to be a Christain rock band, I really can't stomach that! Had some people try to turn me to Christian rock music when I was 12..... bad memories man. But I kept the metal faith and told them that if I was going to hell for listening to Priest, then at least hell will have GREAT music! How in the hell are these guys opening for PRIEST???

Nope, am and was thinking of PopEvil. Knew they were from GrandRapids and they did start out trying to be a Stryper-esq (if THAT is possible without spandex) God band. They have since played that way down but, if you look at their website / bio, you'll still see the overtones.
Beer tent it is because there is NO way I am going to waste my time listening to a band who came out with their first full-length cd of crap last year!
We'll have to coordinate when the date draws closer. Haven't been to Pine Knob since JP/ Queensryche, so I am a bit unsure of which pubs are still around (even stopped at the beer store oddly enough STILL using the name Pine Knob Licquor / Beer) right before that concert. I am all for it, though.

Guido, are you thinking about Anvil? They were rumored to be opening for Priest but then PopEvil was announced. PopEvil is from Grand Rapids, MI and formed in 2001. Just checked them out on YouTube . Meet you at the beer tents at Pine Knob??

You got it. Wasn't plannng on Pine Knob but a good friend talked me into it.
PopEvil was a freakin' God band back in the day? How they got on this ticket, I'll never know.

Toronto and Nashville... what's the 3rd? Did you decide to go to Pine Knob??? PopEvil is from Grand Rapids, MI which is where I grew up. I heard they are supposed to be good but I haven't heard anything by them yet. If they suck it's just more time to drink beer! Hopefully Priest plays at least 90 minutes! God knows that's the band everyone is going to the show to see, the rest are just warm-ups!

Wondin' that myself and I am going to THREE shows!
Who wants to bet that I won't even see PopEvil? (WHO?) even once. Don't really want to see Whitesnake for that matter....oh well...
