IC, I understood your comments but you have to respect the album, at the same time, as your saying, your tired of getting to hear about as a standard they should always have.
They have done Fabulous albums over time, and we all have been loving each and everyone one of them! It's some people's opinion but by no way all our opinions, that Painkiller is the one classic.
I am a diehard fan of the Priest. I love all their albums, and the only song I would surely call on the carpet is "Troubleshooter" Oh my God! I couldnt look the members of JP in the face and tell them I like that song. It is the only truely lame song they have released over the many years they have been around.
The library of Metal they have produced is wonderfull! There is no "bad" Album. Each album has it's credibility and I know you can see that. [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by icecreamman from Friday, June 12, 2009 11:26:59 PM)

I am not burnt out on listening to it. I love the album, all I am saying is that I am sick of everyone wanting Priest to make another Painkiller, okay, Painkiller was great, but I think it is time to move on. I have read reviews on other sites of AOR and Nostradomus. For AOR they say it sounds too much like Painkiller. For Nostradamus they say it is dissapionting becuase it doesnt sound like Painkiller.
In fact one of my favorite JP songs is One Shot at Glory, I have nothing against the album itself. Go read the threads, read them. I promise you on every thread dealing with any Priest music everyone jumps on the bandwagon. It is like, "Okay I want to look like I know something about Priest, I will just rant and rave about how great Painkiller is." Also, just go and listen to some other Priest albums, Defenders of the Faith or Sin After Sin, I cant name many people who rant and rave over them. They are great albums to. I encourage all fans to listen to every album. I can honesly say I love them all. From Rocka Rolla to Nostradomus, including the Tim Owens years. I really love them all. I think a lot of them are overlooked. Yes, on a few of the albums there are songs I skip over sometimes becuase I really dont like them very much, but I love JPs music, Painkiller included.
