As there are so many fake Judas Priest accounts on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook etc - proclaiming that they are the 'Official or Real' Rob Halford, Glenn Tipton, Ian Hill, Richie Faulkner, Scott Travis or anything at all to do with Judas Priest - we want to make it very clear that the only Official band socials are listed on our website - anything else is not genuine so please don't be taken in and please do not send money to anything they say they are offering - they are nothing at all to do with Judas Priest!!

As you probably know by now I've had to pull out of the current Priest tour due to ill health - I am still doing some shows and joining the guys on stage for some songs and will carry on for as long as I can without compromising the band . So far when I walk on stage the audience reaction has been amazing, heart warming and quite emotional.......

PERSONAL MESSAGE FROM GLENN:
By now many of you will know I won't be doing the forthcoming Judas Priest tour because of health issues---Im so sorry but four years ago I was diagnosed with Parkinson's and was told by my specialist that I had already had it for over ten years - I knew something was wrong with my co-ordination and fluency regarding my playing but I worked around it and battled on - I have good days and bad days but the disease is degenerative and I would never want to compromise the greatest metal band in the world---it was therefore during the last rehearsals I decided to step down and have Andy Sneap fill in---he's a great guy and I'm sure he'll do a great job - I'm sure the band will be as strong than ever
I have been overwhelmed by the massive support and love Ive had from other artists and from fans all over the world and from many friends and metal maniacs out there - it's not the end for me - Ill still be able to write and record and on good days even join the band on stage for a few songs - with new medication and advances being made who knows what the future holds - but one thing's for sure - it will certainly involve Priest!
Finally the biggest thanks goes to Rob, Richie, Ian and Scott who have stood by me and supported me through everything - GLENN

Ten years ago Glenn was diagnosed to have the onset of the early stages of Parkinson’s - from then until recently Glenn has lived his life as the great heavy metal guitar player he has always been, maintaining by his own definition a standard of quality and performance that is incredibly important.
Right now Glenn is able to play and perform some of the Priest songs that are less challenging but due to the nature of Parkinson's progression he wants to let you all know that he won't be touring as such -
True to the metal spirit of 'the show must go on' Glenn has requested Andy Sneap to fly the flag on stage for him
“I want everyone to know that it’s vital that the Judas Priest tour go ahead and that I am not leaving the band - it’s simply that my role has changed. I don’t rule out the chance to go on stage as and when I feel able to blast out some Priest! So at some point in the not too distant future I’m really looking forward to seeing all of our wonderful metal maniacs once again”
Rob, Richie, Ian and Scott have this to say:
“We have been privileged to witness Glenn’s determination and steadfast commitment over the years, showing his passion and self belief through the writing, recording and performing sessions with Priest - he is a true metal hero! We are not surprised by Glenn’s insistence that we complete the Firepower tour and thank Andy for joining us to make Glenn’s wishes become real - As Glenn has said we also can’t wait to have him with us at any time any place on the road..... We love you Glenn!”

Judas Priest could easily rest on their laurels at this stage of their highly successful and influential career. However, the legendary metal band - singer Rob Halford, guitarists Glenn Tipton and Richie Faulkner, bassist Ian Hill, and drummer Scott Travis - refuse to do so as evidenced by the arrival of their eighteenth studio album overall - 'Firepower.' Set for release on Friday 9th March 2018 via Columbia / Epic Records - the album is comprised of fourteen tracks of pure and highly inspired metal. And to mark the occasion Priest has reunited with producer Tom Allom (the man behind the board for all of the bands releases from 1979-1988, including such stellar classics as 'Unleashed in the East', 'British Steel', 'Screaming for Vengeance' and 'Defenders of the Faith') and with Grammy Award-winning producer Andy Sneap also helping to raise the sonic bar even higher.
Album is available to pre-order now on CD, limited edition coloured vinyl and digital from the official Judas Priest store
"Tom Allom has got this classic metal thing," explains Halford. "And Andy is a bit more of a 'modern metal producer' but his thinking is a little bit different to Tom's. And I think to get this balance between that classic old school metal to what Andy's world is was just a remarkable coalescence." Tom Allom has been with us since 1979, so his knowledge of ourselves and our music in general is immense, adds Hill. And according to Travis Priest returned back to a recording method that worked incredibly well on the bands earlier classics - We went back to the organic way of recording where its all of us in a room and we got to play together.
The album's first single 'Lightning Strike' will be available now on all download and streaming services

10TH STUDIO ALBUM TURBO REMASTERED
3CD REISSUE OUT 3RD FEB 2017
British metal legends Judas Priest announce the reissue of their 10th studio album, Turbo. The album has been remastered and will be released via Sony Music on 3rd February 2017 on 3CD (the original album and 2 bonus discs) as well as 1LP 180g vinyl.
Originally released in 1986, Turbo features all the hallmarks of classic Priest on tracks such as "Turbo Lover", "Parental Guidance" and "Locked In". Included on disc 2 and 3 of the CD reissue is Live in Kansas City, a live recording from the bands 1986 Fuel For Life tour in support of Turbo.
The band add "The 80's is considered to have been the best decade for heavy metal - Judas Priest roared through it and at the half way point went into unchartered territory with 'Turbo'. Always believing that metal should have no boundaries, Priest challenged themselves taking on board new technical inventions to create fresh ideas and push their sound forward. The combined songs show another side of Priest's range of creativity that captures a theme and energy infused with the over the top sensibilities of that era. The 'Fuel For Life' tour certainly encapsulated the decadence of the times! 'Turbo' remastered and accompanied by a pedal to the metal live recording from Kansas reveals Priest on high octane - Raising fists and devil horns to the next level."
