You beat the hardest of your vices, and I have no doubt you will triumph again. Maybe some excercise during the day to raise your spirits and calm you mind? Might help, and sure wont hurt. I sometimes hate to get out in the spiring and walk, but I notice I feel so much better as I continue. Either way, I'm sure you'll come out on top of the matter.

Good luck to u JD!
In late Dec 2009 i went on alcohol sabbatical.I had to give it up,24 years of drinking and i just could not do it anymore!
The first few months were very hard but now all is well!
I could not believe how much i drank and the money i spent!
That is why now i can buy so many cd's.
I called it alcohol sabatical cause if i had of said i quit and had a drink people get all stupid and say "Thought u quit"!
So this way i can have drinks on St Paddy's Day when we play our annual Paddy"s Day bash this week!
I play many folk instruments and play in a folk band here in Regina!
But that aside,i do feel 1000 times better and glad i did it at 40,it was the right time!I feel like i got a new least on life and i am more openminded and see things clearer than before!
Yes u are right,lungs are not designed to inhale smoke of any kind!
My job is to search and diagnose cancer and i see lots of lung cancer,but some pot smokers will argue with us that only cigs cause it!
Well i wish u luck and u are a strong person and i know u can do it!
Addictions are hard things to break and i know all about!

LOL! No not "all" the bands tour here on a regular basis your thinking of England ha! Saxon only comes here(to the states,not Seattle) once in a while and its only about 4 shows and they are all on the east coast! But yeah,I guess Motorhead and Priest,Maiden come here more than NZ,I hear ya.

Yeah thats the good thing about the States, all the bands tour there on a regular basis, I'm sure you'll get a chance to see them this year. I suppose I can't complain too much because I did get to see them in 05 when they came down for their 30th anniversary tour and again in 07 when they toured Kiss Of Death. Not sure if I'd rate The World Is Yours that highly but it is definately a solid effort, Brotherhood Of Man is a cool song.

You know, I would have said exactly the same about the halftime acts until Tom Petty. I thought he was pretty damn good (whatever year that was when he recently played). No nonsense sort of show without any annoying hip-hop or people dangling from cables. I would have said the same about Prince too ... until he pulled that "what the HELL is he doing with that guitar throwing shadows behind the screen act?!" I swear, he went from a "damn, look at Prince go!" to "aw crap, what a loon!" in a span of 15 minutes.
Who can see this and not say WTF?! I'll even take a Janet "malfunction" over this nonsense anyday.

The blood sucking leaches known as the power company. My bill was SKY high this month! In the 8 years I have lived here my electric bill mid winter has increased by 100%. Funny, I don't recall adding an addition to my humble abode? What robbing bastards! The biggest recession in ages and they just had to be sure to screw us all. Today, I noticed they put a self promotional add on TV saying how they have cut back on expenses and staff just to accomdate us?? I think all they did was change their name from APCO to BENDOVER.

Dave, that really sucks that Slash wasn't there! But I saw on Ozzy's website that the two makeup dates were before the tour with Slash started and that Slash wouldn't be there. That seems shitty though, they should have done the makeup shows when they had an opening band. Glad you really enjoyed Ozzy though! I really wish the critics would get the fuck off his back too. He's never been the greatest singer in the world but he puts on a HELL of a show. He is an incredible showman and he is up there getting as crazy as the fans are. We thought he kicked ass too, even when he was sick.

| Saw Ozzy Osbourne Live for the first time here in Minneapolis on Wednesday.. Won Suite tix off the radio. Oh yeah, remember me telling you this before? Yeah, funny story... Slash pulled an Axl and didn't show up, so no Halford, no Slash, NO OPENER... Ozzy did 2 hours of material (ok, he left a few songs off the list that he performed in other cities) but the fucking critics wont get off his back because "he couldn't hit the same notes time after time..." He's fucking 62 and still can kick fucking ass, cos like he said, "Vampires are pussies! I'm the Prince of Fucking Darkness!" Fucking hate hate HATE critics! around them also. I haven't lived a perfect life but I gave up alcohol and I don't take anything I know I may end up addicted to. I may not
be the one to tell others they shouldn't do something but posts like yours may open their eyes to the harm they are causing. Sorry about

| Just got a call to tell me that my uncle has pretty much drunk himself to death. He is in hospital with terminal liver cancer and damage. His heart is full of fluid because his liver is screwed and one by one his organs are packing up. What pisses me off is that this is totally self inflicted and now his wife, kids and grandkids are the ones left to suffer. So cruel. So preventable. |

I don't know, she sounds a bit freaked out. How well do you know her and is this normal behaviour for her. any possiblilty she's abusing her meds as well? I think judging anyone in any situation is never good but don't speak to her if she's just going to upset you. If you feel you can speak to her and then not take what she has to say personally then go ahead but if it is going to cut then don't speak to her just yet.

The viewing was from 1:00pm to 5:00pm with a get together planned afterwards. My wife called his fiance the night
before to let her know we would be there later in the afternoon and go to the gathering after. We show up at around
4pm and there is a group of people on the side porch/entrance of the funeral home. We start to walk to the front entrance
when I hear someone say "It's about time you guys showed up". Mortified I turned around to see his fiance staring at us.

I enjoyed that. A bit long, but I could hear the voice and understand what was being sung. I like it so much more than the video before, as it seems lame compared.
I'm not a great person for reviews. I know what I like, don't get into nuances, but I did like that song.

Maybe it's just me JJ but they are not fabulous in any way. Good, yes.......I do like the way the drummers keep in time. The outfits look like a band that would play at the Star Trek convention. Feeling only medium to them.

Queens Of The Stone Age are playing in Wellington on the same night as the Melvins/High On Fire gig. We don't get too many bands down here so this scheduling really sucks as I would have gone to both shows if I could. As it happens I already have tix for the Melvins/High On Fire so I will be sticking with that. Still gutted though.

Then your a wise man. You know that you have a tendency to drugs that induce pleasure/anethesia. You avoided the meds that would cause that. You could have taken mega ammounts of Ibuprofen, which will actually do the same thing, only it's hard on the liver to process.
Most Dr.'s are honest, they have to be. To be found guilty of perscription fraud is to loose the license they went to school for years to get.
Sure, there are crooked Dr.'s. need look no further than Michael Jackson's personal physician giving him a drug that should only be used for surgery. They are willing to risk their license for this. something mild, just tell him the next time that it didn't do the trick, that you need something stronger. After that
you'll be on your way to addiction. Monthly visits to your dealer, I mean doctor and your good to go. He's happy,
he's making money, your happy, even if it's chemically, and no one gets hurt. Until you die that is, then everyone's

Hellrider I ordered Made of Metal from the Halford site and the first time, it didn't seem to work, and the second time, it didn't seem to work. I got zero confirmation emails, but come the day of release I recieved two Made of Metal CDs. Good thing Flora liked it so I didnt' have to return the extra.
Same actually happened with the British Steel release too. Got two of those, with no confirmation on site or email.
So, expect two shirts some time in the near future.

What really sux about that is they are touring with Black Label Society so we get to miss them too. In fairness to Motorhead though they have toured here twice in the last 5 years. Unlike Priest who've toured here zero times in the past 35 years.

LOL. YUP .when i ride my old 71 RALEIGH SUPERBE (BRITISH STEEL MADE IN ENGLAND)lol.i put a 1950s brooks cowhide saddle on it racing style .problem with it it is hard even with the springs on it. it had a bad habit of slowly riping holes in the back of my jeans to but i fixed that covered it with a plastic bag.lol.I LOVE MY OLD CLUNKERS.LOL
