to conclude...there's no band keeping the same style in one album or another...every album is a new experience, and every album should have its own mysticism and its own spirit in its own way!

you got it right...and that's the point...we all have different preferences, and we all like priest in a different way...that's what matters, that we all have our way of loving priest, and that priest was able to reach us in different ways...

I agree with you 101%!!!! It just bothered me when I heard some kids listening to British Steel and saying it could not have been JP, becuase it did not sound like Painkiller. Maybe they will learn.....

Well... Heres my two cents... I agree, Painkiller seems to be getting the most attention. Good or bad... I dont know, it just seems to be their most popular song and album, so I guess the attention it gets makes sense. Doesnt bother me.
Personaly, Painkiller is far from my favourite Priest song, and the same with the album. If Priest ever do an album like one they already did, I hope they will look to stuff like Turbo, Point of Entry or Defenders of the Faith for inspiration. |
